 The South Orange Police Benevolent Association is a labor union comprised of sworn police officers of the South Orange Police Department located in Essex County, New Jersey. We have been incorporated and serving our members and the public since August 6th, 1907. South Orange Police Officers are dedicated to serving and protecting the community where we live and work. We are committed to the prevention of crime, protection of life and property, safety, enforcement of laws and ordinances, and the safeguarding of constitutional rights and guarantees. It is also in our interest to give back to the community by volunteering and making charitable donations to various local entities such as scholarships, youth organizations, and other charitable organizations. We give assistance to bereaved and needy families and support other Police Unions in their times of need.
